POhWER – New Service in Telford & Wrekin

We are delighted to have been awarded the contract to deliver the Independent Complaints Advocacy (IHCA) Service in Telford & Wrekin.

Our service started on 1st April 2020 and we are providing independent advocacy to support people who wish to make a complaint about an NHS funded service. We look forward to working closely with Healthwatch Telford and Wrekin and other local voluntary and community sector organisations.

We have delivered advocacy services in Telford & Wrekin since 2006 and currently also provide Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy, Relevant Person’s Paid Representative services and Independent Care Act Advocacy.

Our Regional Manager for the West Midlands, Penny Bodger-Yates says “POhWER welcomes the opportunity to further support the citizens of Telford and Wrekin through the Independent Complaints Advocacy Service and look forward to working closely with Healthwatch to champion service user feedback.”
