Getting help over the holidays

With Easter weekend upon us, some services may be closed or reduced on bank holidays. But your health doesn't take days off, so find out where you can get help if you need it over the Easter break!

While GP practices will be closed on Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and Easter Monday, you can still call NHS 111 if you need urgent help or advice. The line will remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

For serious and life-threatening conditions and injuries, you should attend A&E or call 999.

NHS 111 is now able to offer help and advice for mental health issues as well. If you need urgent support for your mental health, you can also call the ACCESS team on 0808 196 4501.

The Samaritans hotline is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. If you need to talk to somebody at any point over the holidays, you can call them on 116 123.

For help and advice regarding any minor health concerns over the holidays, you can visit a pharmacist. A number of pharmacies around Telford and Wrekin will be opening for a few hours every day over the holiday period, and may be able to offer you advice and medication that will help.

Our office will be closed from Friday 29 March 2024 until Tuesday 2 April 2024, when everything will go back to normal.
