POhWER

POhWER is a charity and membership organisation who support people facing difficult issues and have their voices heard.

They provide free, independent and confidential information, advice, support and advocacy to people who experience disability, vulnerability, distress and social exclusion. Their role is to support people who face difficult issues and have their voices heard.

POhWER’s mission is:

“To empower people to have a voice and make a real difference to their lives”

They offer the following services in Telford & Wrekin:

  • Independant Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA)
  • Deprivation of Liberty Safguards (DoLS)
  • Relevant Person’s Paid Prepresentative Service (RPPR)
  • Independent Health Complaints Advocacy Service (IHCAS)
  • Care Act Advocacy
