Key messages about the Covid-19 vaccine

The NHS vaccination programme continues to make strong progress

Thanks to the thousands of people involved, in just three months the health service in England has given the vital first vaccine dose to more than 25 million people.

If you are in an eligible group and haven’t come forward yet, it’s not too late, and please make this the week you do. Making an appointment is quick and simple at nhs.uk/covid-vaccination, or by phoning 119 if you can’t use the internet. Anyone who doesn’t want to or can’t make it to one of these centres can still choose to wait to be contact by their local GP-led service, which are currently prioritising those with underlying health conditions that put them at greater risk.

Vaccination Services in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin

All vaccinations are by appointment only. People who are eligible for appointments will receive letters and/or a text from the National Booking Service, telling you how to book an appointment or will be contacted by their local GP practice.

Key messages:

  • Please don’t contact your GP practice, the wider NHS or any of the community venues to seek a vaccine until it’s your turn

  • Please attend your booked appointments

  • Please do not arrive too early for your vaccination appointment to help us maintain social distancing

  • Please continue to follow all the rules to control the virus and save lives.

More information can be found on the Telford and Wrekin Council website.
