We wanted to find out how dignity, respect, quality of life and independence was being respected and supported in the person’s care, and how ‘activity-based’ care supported people to continue to be as active and independent as possible.

We wanted to learn about:

  • The experiences of people living with Dementia
  • Supporting people to continue to be as active and independent as possible
  • Choices available to people
  • Staffing levels and staff training

Key Findings

  • All residents and relatives were full of praise for the Home, staff and management
  • All residents looked clean and well cared for
  • Food was praised by all
  • Relatives could visit at any time
