Young People Engagement on behalf of Barnardo's and the Co-op

Healthwatch Telford and Wrekin is working with Barnardo's and the Co-op to find out what young people in the Borough would like to see from a new support service.

Healthwatch Telford and Wrekin is part of Engaging Communities Solutions and is the independent voice of the public in health and social care services. We collect feedback from the people about their thoughts on using services like health services and social care services.

We have been asked by Barnardo's and the Co-op to ask young people living in Telford about what they would like to see from a new service for young people that helps support them with things like their mental wellbeing, reaching their future goals and helping with access to help with things like the cost of living.

Part of the project is to host an online survey so that young people can share their thoughts directly with us on what matters to them. We are also looking for volunteers to take part in the project on a longer-term basis, asking other young people what they think about the service ideas and working with Barnardo's to help design what the service will look like.

The results of the survey and focus groups will be used to produce a report for Barnardo's and the Co-op that will ensure that the voices of young people are a key element in the design and development of the new service offer in Telford and Wrekin.
